EUROPA’S Best 2013 in Antwerp- An extraordinary culinary event

Oh, what I wouldn’t give to have sailed on this voyage- over 30 well known chefs, winegrowers, chocolatiers, fromagiers and p├ótissiers from all over Europe recently gathered together on Hapag-Lloyd’s Europa for an onboard culinary event.

EUROPA’S Best 2013 brought together the shining stars of the culinary world (see the participant list below) in Antwerp for a demonstration of creative and unique dishes such as “braised cheek and ravioli of veal on a bed of vegetable strips topped with a light sauce mad├¿re, truffles, and caviar” and “pickled, white slice of halibut on fragrant rice and pineapple-mango-chutney, macadamia nuts and kaffir lime” or “marinated Arctic char with green apple, apple blossoms, clover leaf and caviar.” These extraordinary gastronomic creations were paired with exquisite wines, deserts and cheese specialties.
