Cunard’s philosophy is that travel is meant to be savored, and crossing the oceans should be a majestic experience, not merely a hop across the pond. They are known for grand ballrooms, elegant dining rooms, and luxury accommodations. (I loved my voyage aboard this beautiful ship. To read about my experience, please click here.)
The line describes its flagship, the Queen Mary 2 as “the most magnificent ocean liner ever built-She offers so much space on board and such an array of state of the art facilities including a 3D Cinema, planetarium and a superb spa.”
2014 is her 10th anniversary, and in her honor, Cunard is offering two special commemorative Transatlantic Crossings. These “Birthday Crossings” will include a host of special events and celebrations.
The May 9, 2014 Transatlantic commemorative cruise departs from Southampton, UK.
The May 16, 2014 Transatlantic commemorative cruise departs from New York City.
