Last week, I did some posts about Princess’s new ship, the Royal Princess.
The ship sounds fantastic, so out of curiosity, I did some pricing on her voyages, and set a $3000 per person budget to see what was offered. Here’s what I found out.
This summer, the Royal Princess is doing 12-day Mediterranean sailings between Barcelona and Venice. (There is nothing shorter except for the maiden voyages they are doing in June.)
As far as rooms, a balcony cabin was the limit of what our $3000 pp would purchase because of the length of the sailing.
Here are some of the deals they are offering- quotes for three different sailings.
The first is July 5 from Venice to Barcelona. For an interior room the price is $2459.00 per person. No onboard credits.
The second date is July 29-same itinerary. but this room is a mid ship balcony with a partially obstructed view. the cost is $2579/pp. With this one you do get a $50 pp onboard credit and a $500 discount on your airfare.
The third sailing is August 10 from Barcelona to Venice the total of $2872 pp for a larger forward cabin with a obstructed view balcony. This one still has the on board credit and the discounted airfare.
They have a soda package of $5/pp per day. He said we could each bring a bottle of wine on board, but there was no alcohol package to buy before hand.
Not too bad for a 12-day vacation on the Mediterranean, I think! What do you think?
