Special Baby Boomer Rates on Costa Cruises

This month, Costa Cruises is offering a special deal to boomers: lower fares on select European sailings with their “Senior Savings Spectacular” promotion.

Here are the details:

  • Travelers 55 and older may choose select summer and fall seven- to 14-day itineraries for rates as low as $469 in the Mediterranean and $999 in northern Europe.
  • Prices are per person, double occupancy.
  • Guests must be at least 55 years old and book through Costa’s call center using the rate code “SENIOR.” (Speak with your agent about this process.)
  • Government taxes and fees apply.

The fact that this promotion runs in May 2013 for dates in the summer and fall speaks to the fact that boomers are able to have spontaneity in travel that others cannot due to their rigorous work schedules. Scott Knutson, vice president of sales and marketing for Costa Cruises North America says “Costa’s Senior Savings Spectacular is designed to entice these travelers to enjoy the incredible sites, scenery, flavors and history of Europe at an amazing value.”

Costa is well known for its onboard amenities and international flair. Each ship offers Italian-style cuisine and popular onboard entertainment, including chocolate and coffee bars, the renown Samsara spa, as well as a Grand Prix simulator, 4D theater and designer-brand shops.
